Howard Rogers has been married to Dawn for 21 years. The couple live in Suffield with their two children, Garath, 19 who is working in the company and Zoe, 15 who is in her final year at Scalby School.
Mr Rogers comes from the village of Westow near Malton . He and his family moved to Scarborough when he was young.
After motor sports Mr Rogers enjoys walking and exploring France.
“I’ve always been a speed junkie, stemming from the days when I used to tear around the North Yorkshire countryside in a Mini Cooper S that I built for rallying from a bare shell. That came to an end when I was at a rally and rolled it several times over at a hairy bend. Fortunately all that was injured was my pride.
“I still love tinkering with my 20 year old 4X4 110 Land Rover, or zooming along the German Nurburgring racing track in my red TVR, whose 3.6 litre hand-made 350 brake horsepower engine powers it from 0 to 60 mph in four seconds.”
However when it comes to business Mr Rogers likes to take his time and is slightly more cautious. “I don’t rush into things. Even when I make positive decisions, I sleep on them before acting,” he said.
“Being successful in life is about treating others as you wish to be treated yourself. The success of any company is down to the people who work there, having a pleasant and friendly working environment for personal development within the organisation,” he added.
